Time Series Analysis Of Relative Humidity In Umuahia South, L.G.A, Abia State

ABSTRACT

This work studies the mean monthly relative humidity (RH) data in Umuahia South L.G.A. which is a consequence of moisture. The ultimate objective of this study is to construct a mathematical model which could be used to forecast future values of RH in Umuahia South. The related specific objectives are - to evaluate the data available for this work. to estimate and isolate the components of the time series existing in the RH data. to forecast future values.  to make recommendations I This study would help to forecast future RH in the area under survey. Also the following institutions, Agricultural and metrological institutions will find it relevant. Due to poor yield of agricultural products and poor research results produced by researchers as a result poor forecast of weather variables, it becomes imperative to take a closer look on RI-I values and study the pattern which this variable exhibits The data for this study were observed in Umuahia South L.G.A. by Abia ADP for the period 1992 - 1998. The data collected were analysed using simple descriptive time series technique.
