THE IMPACT OF FUNDING SMALL SCALE AND COTTAGE ENTERPRISE ON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN NIGERIA

ABSTRACT
The impact of funding small scale and cottage enterprise on development in Nigeria was carried out to investigate its cts contribution to the Nigeria economy .

The study therefore is to highlight and measure the effect of cottage enterprise forwards Nigeria economy. The study also show cased the significant role of the Central Bank of Nigeria) as the apex Bank that contributes a lot to the performance of smali scale enterprise in Nigeria. It role in the development of SMEs was also emphasized in this study several governments polices and regulations up in order to promote the activities of the SME were also the NERFUND (natural economic Reconstruction Fund) etc.

The role of the small scale enterprise could not be overemphasized. It was discovered that they are very viral to the development of Nigeria and the world at large.
