Relevance Of Financial Reporting On The Development Of Nigeria Economy (A Case Study Of Nigeria Breweries Plc)

ABSTRACT

 This paper focuses on the Relevance of Financial Reporting on the development of Nigerian economy. In clear terms Accounting reporting was clearly defined as the process of producing statements that disclose an organization 's financial status to management, investors and the government, and it may be deliberately biased in order to achieve a certain political or regulatory objective. This may be the case, for an instance when a firm is subject to rate regulation and rate accorded is directly based on some accounting number. The main objective of my study is to examine the relevance of horizontal and vertical analysis in evaluating financial reports and ascertains the role offinancial ratios. In this research work financial ratio analysis was used to analyze my research question. We therefore, recommend that the total assets increased in each year due to increases in both the current and non-current assets of the company except in the year 2013.
