Maintenance Culture: An Effective Strategy Of Development Of Hospitality Industry In A Depressed Economy

ABSTRACT

The aim of this project work is to evaluate the importance of maintenance culture to the profitability of hotel and catering establishment and its contribution to the improvement of Nigerian's economy. The knowledge and understanding of the importance of maintenance of hospitality equipment, the benefit to be derived and the application of boost sales and income of hospitality establishment. The method of connection of data used in this work comprises the use of questionnaire and interview where possible in a conversation manner concerning the way people perceive maintenance culture. Findings shows that hospitality that has maintenance have more chance of survival to those who don't have effective maintenance techniques. Effective maintenance enhances profitability in hospitality industry.
