ABSTRACT

AIDS which is Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, developed from Human Immunodeliciency Virus (HIV), as the name implies, is a disease caused by a deficiency of the immune system. It is a syndrome because there is a range of different symptoms, which are tiot always found in each case (since the virus mutates as it replicateS. Unlike other immune deficiency problems, HIV/AIDS is acquired (TJ 1997). The subject of the origin of L-I1V/AIDS seems uncertain some say that HiV originated through zoonotic transmission from an animals host (like wild games of monkeys and ciimpanzees; while others say it is from dogs). Organ transplant from animals to man orrt sexual interactions with the animals are also suggested routes, (but consequently, the virus is no longer on [lie increase in animal population) (Hahn, 2005). Some othepropose that 11 1froni laboratory mistakes and unfortunately infected man.
