ABSTRACT

Growth is one of the most fundamental and conspicuous characteristics of living organism being the sequences of increase in the amount of living protoplasm (Street et al 1984). This increase is done seemingly effective at first, and growth then increases the weight for a period, by an almost compound interest type of relationship. After sometime growth increment falls short of the requirement of the compound law as each addition by growth with time reduces to an almost linear increase with time. At this point of inflection, growth begins to slow down and enter upon a decelerating phase. Eventually in a final phase, growth ceases altogether and the plant dies off.
