Effect Of HIV/AIDS On The Social Lifestyle Of Patients And Their Family Members In Makurdi Local Government Area Of Benue State.

ABSTRACT

This research work with the topic Effects of HIV/AIDS on the social lifestyle of patients and family members in Markurdi Local Government Area of Benue State briefly discusses the origin of HIV/AIDS, its History in Nigeria and it's prevalence in Beune State. Some devastating effects of HIV/AIDS, stigma, as an effect and the group that are mainly infected were identified. The relationship between the rate of HIV/AIDS and socio-cultural practices where discussed. A purposive sampling techniques for HI V/AIDS spondents and random sampling technique for the Non HI V/AIDS respondents where chosen. Data analysis was done using frequency count and percentage. Chi-square was used to test the hypothesis. The study ends with summary and conclusion and recommendation for action.
