Clothing Construction Of Male Native Attire In Abia State.

ABSTRACT
This research work is aimed at studying the clothing construction of male native attire in Abia state. Clothing construction which is also known as sewing or dress-making has create an impact to the Homemakers, designers and the male folk by creating employment opportunity to them and improving their skills on native attire. The purpose of this research is to identify the popular male native attires worn in Abia state. This work adopted an experimental design on different male native attire worn in Abia state like Jumpa, Senegalese, Etibo special, and senator suit using point hedonic scale. The result of the sensory data on the men native attire as on the table 4.1 below showed that sample 555 (Senator Suit) has the highest mean values of 5.80, 5.70, 5.80, and 6.15 respectively for beauty, sharpness, color and overall acceptability using the seven point hedonic scale. This result showed that the sample 555 (Senator Suit) contributed significantly to the sensory qualities of the men native attire. More so, it could be suggested that it will have a good economic, Veblen goods with a good social viability ratio in terms of fashion. It was recommended that Awareness should be made in order to make the people have the idea of clothing construction, there should be a board to look into clothing construction of male native attire in Abia, All individual interested in clothing construction of male native wears should start on time to practice.
